Martin University announced, Doug Bowen, President and CEO of Bowen Engineering Corporation, whom has shown a long-time commitment to the growth of the Indianapolis community, will be joining its Board of Trustees.
Doug graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Business Management and is a graduate of Harvard University’s Executive Leadership Program. Before returning to Indianapolis to work within the family business, Doug and his wife Julie, spent time in San Jose, CA, where Doug worked for Vitton Construction.
Doug’s approach to leadership is marked by a confident humility, a desire to learn from all organizational stakeholders, and his belief that “None of Us is as Smart as All of Us”. As a lifelong Indianapolis resident, Doug is passionate about improving the lives of young Hoosiers and is humbled by the opportunity to support the role Martin University plays in building the community. Doug has been involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, the American Heart Association, Metropolitan Indianapolis Coalition for Construction Safety, and the Charles A. Tindley Accelerated School of Indianapolis.
