From CAMS to Canvas

At the start of the Spring Semester, students began transitioning from CAMS to Canvas as the new learning management system. Transitioning to Canvas provides enhanced instructional analytic capabilities supporting the University's larger plan for data integration, a more user-friendly interface for faculty and students, and better integration with our third-party cloud-based platforms like Google Suites, Microsoft Teams, Cengage, and Grammarly. While more information about Canvas training dates and the course migration process is forthcoming, training videos for Canvas can be found here.

Advisors will now also be assigned to classes throughout the semester monitoring students' progress in Canvas, making sure they are logging in weekly and completing assignments. This is a part of initiatives to ensure academic success in courses and connect students with resources early on that will help them succeed.
