Martin University was founded as Martin Center College in 1977 by Father Boniface Hardin and Sister Jane Schilling and named after Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and St. Martin de Porres, two men who spent their lives in the service of others.

For this year’s Founders’ Day Luncheon, Martin University will further the mission of Father Hardin and Sister Schilling by honoring a group of selfless individuals who have dedicated their lives to serving their country and humanity.

On April 11, 2019, we will recognize the United States Armed Forces and the men and women from its five branches; Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy.

Many of our students, alumni, faculty, and staff members have proudly served our country and will be recognized during the luncheon. Keynote Speaker Adjutant General, Major General Courtney P. Carr.

Your support of this event will greatly impact our ability to recognize, award, and celebrate our service men and women.
