Strategic Plan

General Information

Martin University is currently engaged in a Strategic Plan. It is our intent that this plan will enable us to continue to grow and positively impact the community of Indianapolis and the State of Indiana in the field of Higher Education.

We know that the Strategic Plan will benefit us by:

  1. Strengthening enrollment, revenue, quality, and reputation;
  2. Identifying our unique niche and market position to strengthen our competitive advantage;
  3. Improving our performance in responding to external mandates;
  4. Balancing priorities, goals, and the allocation of resources;
  5. Overcoming weaknesses of both piece-meal approaches to planning and conventional long-range planning;
  6. Freeing-up ideas, building consensus, and achieving collaboration;
  7. Creating results-oriented campus teams among key constituents;
  8. Identifying the latest external trends and their impacts on the university;
  9. Assessing institutional outcomes;
  10. Building a solid foundation on which continuous quality improvement can be made to work;
  11. Increase donations, grants, donors, and endowments.

"While the mission has been the same: to serve low income, minority, adult-aged persons in a healing and freedom minded environment, the needs of people have changed somewhat and the delivery of service has developed with the needs and times."

"This reality check on years of good will, service and positive attitude will be the basis for transformation for the next decade."

President Boniface Hardin.
