Smoking Cessation
A report was released this past June further proving the harm in second-hand smoke. This encourages Martin University's Smoking Cessation Program to continue providing education and assistance to the public. Link to the report below.

Our overarching goal is, through increased awareness, to gain community support and action in combating the culture of acceptance related to tobacco-use in our community.
We also host events such as our continuing education conference, State of the Art Tobacco Cessation: Serving the Minority Communities; a Tobacco-Free Kids’ Fashion Show; and Cessation Counseling Training for the African American Community.
All counselors are Master’s or doctoral level practitioners.
The program, which is backed by the National Medical Association, is based upon CDC Best Practices Guidelines and professional standards for individual privacy and confidentiality.
Our sponsor The Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Trust Fund:
This Fund exists to prevent and reduce the use of all tobacco products in Indiana and to protect citizens from exposure to tobacco smoke.
