Enactus is an international student organization operating in 36 countries with 360 corporate sponsors dedicated to the mission of bringing together the top leaders of today and tomorrow to create a better and more sustainable world through the positive power of business. This organization offers students with scholarships of $35,000 a year, as well as linking students to corporate partners that offer over 500 internships and jobs annually.

The Martin University Enactus chapter has been in existence since 2010 with a current membership of 55 students and also offers a business elective in leadership called LDR 256. This is a service learning course that prepares students to become active members of the organization, be charged to develop leadership skills, plan, and deliver educational outreach programs, receive exposure to career opportunities, and have opportunity to participate in team competitions both at national and global levels to develop skills for their professional lives.

Martin University Enactus Students participated in the 2014 National Enactus Competition held in Cincinnati, OH, April 1 - 3, 2014.  Martin University Enactus students presented their small business project, Unleavened Bread Café, to a group of corporate judges in group 14 during the preliminary rounds. The project focused on helping this small business owner reduce costs, adapt new ways of promoting her business, diversify her menu offering and introducing new green initiatives that have resulted in benefits to the owner's operations and its profitability. This project was sponsored by a $ 1,500 Sam’s Club Grant, enabled students meet the costs in implementing this project.
