Martin University is a private institution and does not receive monies from the federally funded Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). Moreover, Martin is not a member institution of the United Negro College Fund (UNCF); however, students individually have received scholarships from the UNCF in an approximate amount of $9,000.
