Martin University's Safety and Security Department
The Student Handbook and
Emergency Preparation Plan
provide practical information about campus safety.
Martin University's Safety and Security Department has four major obligations:
- Protection of life and property;
- Prevention of drugs, alcohol, smoking, weapons, and sex offenses;
- Maintaining a successful traffic and parking system;
- Providing friendly service to members of the university campus, and preserving an environment
conducive to both educational and personal growth.
The endeavors of the Security Department are to fulfill these responsibilities in a courteous,
polite, and professional manner. Likewise, the students are to respond to the Security Officers
in a courteous, polite, and professional manner. Students are to obey all rules, regulations,
and requests of law enforcement officials. Commissioned law enforcement officials
do have powers to arrest all law breakers.
