School of Mathematics and Sciences

The School of Mathematics and Sciences provides quality undergraduate programs that are aligned with the mission of Martin University to serve low-income, minority students in a supportive learning environment. In addition to supporting the University’s General Education Core Curriculum by way of mathematical and scientific literacy, the School of Mathematics and Sciences provides specialized curricula for the B.S in Biology, B.S in Chemistry and the B.S. in Environmental Sciences. The School also provides a B.A in Biology for students interested in entering the Allied Health professions.

The School of Mathematics and Sciences recognizes the need for increased numbers of minority students in graduate programs and minority graduates in science professions. For these reasons, Martin University’s School of Mathematics and Sciences has upgraded and redesigned its Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Science curricula. The School is also working on enhancing its instructional facilities to allow it to become a premier center of educational excellence in the sciences.
