Gerontology

The Gerontology major allows students to gain knowledge about the elderly and specific issues that affect this population. Persons completing this major will have skills needed for entry level positions in pubic or private organizations that deal with the elderly (e.g., nursing homes, retirement centers, advocacy organizations). The program also prepares students for more advanced and technical training in the aging field.
