What types of financial aid are available at Martin University?
When you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you are applying for federal grants and loans as well as state grants.
Federal Grants:State Grants:Pell Grant - a grant awarded to undergraduate students who have not yet earned a bachelors degree.
Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) - a grant awarded to undergraduate students who have not yet earned a bachelors degree and who have received a Federal Pell Grant.
Federal Loans:Subsidized Stafford Loan - a loan based on financial need. The government pays the interest on this loan as long as you are enrolled at least half time.
Unsubsidized Stafford Loan - a loan that is not based on financial need. You are responsible for the interest on this loan while you are in school.
Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) - a loan for the parents of an undergraduate student enrolled at least half time.

State scholarships are awarded to Indiana residents who file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid so that it is received by the federal processor by March 10th.
Indiana Higher Education Grant Program - a grant program where funds are awarded by the State of Indiana to students enrolled full-time in a first bachelors degree program. For detailed information about state grants click on the links below.
Part-time Grant - awarded to students who enroll for at least 6 credit hours per semester and who qualify for HEA and FOC. Since funds are limited, not all students who qualify will receive this grant. For more information on this program, click here.
21st Century Scholars Program - students apply for this program during their 7th and 8th grade years. They must pledge to remain drug and alcohol free as well as meet other criteria to be considered for this grant. For more information on this program, click here.
