If You Drop Classes, Withdraw or Drop Out
If You Drop a Class(es)
- If you drop a class or classes during the 100% fee refund period, your financial aid award will be adjusted to reflect your new enrollment status.
- If you drop a class after the 100% fee refund period your financial will not be adjusted , however this may cause problems with your Satisfactory Academic Progress.
If You Withdraw or Drop Out
The Higher Education Amendments of 1998 established a policy for the return of unearned Title IV aid funds. Martin University is required to return a portion of your Title IV aid funds if you do any of the following:
- Officially Withdraw from All Classes
- Stop Attending All Classes
- Are Expelled
- Take an Unapproved Leave of Absence
- Fail to Return from an Approved Leave of Absence
The amount of Title IV funds which you earn is based on the number of days you attend. This amount of earned aid will be determined by dividing the number of days you attend by the total number of days in the semester. If you attend at least 60% of the semester, you will earn 100% of your awarded Title IV aid.
If you must withdraw, you should contact your mentor to initiate a formal withdrawal.
