1.      The Board voted unanimously to approve the proposed FY 2012 budget as amended to include $75,000 of additional expense for the presidential search.

 

2.      The Board voted unanimously to select BKD as the University’s auditing firm for FY 2011.

Board Actions from May 9, 2011 Meeting

 

1.      The Board discussed the possibility of developing golf, basketball, and tennis teams for the University and voted unanimously to authorize Representative John Bartlett to continue his exploration in collaborating with an Indianapolis Public School to use their facilities for such activities.

 

 

 

 

 

Board Actions from January 4, 2011 Meeting

 

1.      To maintain Board continuity in support of Interim President Charlotte Westerhaus-Renfrow, the Board voted unanimously to extend to November 2011 the terms of those who had been scheduled to leave in November 2010.

 

2.      The Board voted unanimously to re-affirm Father Hardin as President Emeritus of the University, establish an office for him on campus, seek erection of a sign designating the street adjacent to campus as Hardin Street, and to provide recognition for both Father Hardin and Sister Jane at the 2011 commencement ceremonies.

 

3.      The Board voted unanimously to elect Mr. Reginald McGregor and Mr. Jarrett Jones to the Board.

 

4.      The Board voted unanimously to explore the creation of an endowment in Sister Jane’s honor.

 

5.      The Board voted unanimously to establish an advisory board to provide expertise and advice to the Board of Trustees.
