Medical Coding (18 months) class start date Fall 2012
The healthcare industry is growing fast and will
continue to grow in the future. Because of this growth, hospitals, nursing
homes, clinics and physicians groups will need more Certified Medical Coders to
process medical and health information into digital formats. The medical coding
program prepares you to become Certified Medical Coders through practical and
applied learning.

Health Facility Administrator – 6 weeks (HFA) class start date September 17 – October 26, 2012
This state approved six-week program provides the
foundation needed to pass the HFA licensing exam. You are prepared in areas that
will assist you in managing a long term care facility. Prior to the exam, you
are required to complete a six-month internship in a healthcare facility.

Residential Care Administrator – 3 weeks (RCA) class start date September 17 – October 5, 2012
This state approved three-week program is designed to
prepare you with the foundation needed to pass the RCA licensing exam. Prior to
the exam, you are required to complete a five-month internship in a residential

Social Service Designee – 48 hours (SSD) class start date January 23 - 28, 2012 and July 23 - 28, 2012
Upon successful completion, you will receive a
certificate to fulfill requirements defined in the state and federal regulations
for nursing and long-term care facilities under 120 beds. Certification will
allow you to coordinate the services needed to attain or maintain the highest
practical physical, psychological and psychosocial well-being for each resident.

Preceptor Certification – 8 hours (1 day workshop) class start
date: as needed
The
Preceptor program gives you the chance to become certified or recertified as a
state approved mentor for an Administrator-in-Training.
