About Martin University

Martin University is a private, not-for-profit, liberal arts institution that
provides excellence in educating and developing all students with expertise in
serving and empowering low income minority and adult learners in a healthy and
collegiate environment. Martin prides itself on being unique, future-oriented
and student-centered and offers both theoretical and experiential learning
experiences which allow students to fully immerse themselves in their chosen
fields before entering the workplace.
Location
Martin University is located in Indianapolis, Indiana minutes from downtown on
the near east side of the city. You may come to the campus by traveling on
Sherman Drive (southwest corner of E.22nd St. and Sherman Drive). If traveling
by interstate use I-70 East to Indianapolis, take the Rural/Keystone, Exit 85A
or I-70 West to Keystone Ave. Exit 85 and following the signs (the campus is
about one mile east of Keystone Avenue).

Programs
Martin University offers 14 Bachelor’s Degrees, in an array of disciplines
including Accounting, Addiction Counseling, Business Administration, Biology,
Chemistry, Early Childhood Education, Environmental Science, Psychology,
Religious Studies, Sociology, Criminal Justice and Liberal Arts. Two Master’s
degrees in Urban Ministries, and Community Psychology are also available as well
as special programs in Long-Term Care and Medical Coding.
Academic Excellence
Martin University provides it students with a well-rounded, liberal arts
education designed to prepare them for graduate education and leadership roles
in their chosen careers. Students at Martin enjoy the benefit of the
institution’s unique Service Learning and Leadership curriculum, individualized
degree plans which allow room for a variety of electives, as well as the
personal attention of faculty mentors who work closely with students on course
selection. In addition, all courses and degree plans at Martin are designed with
student development in mind, and are subject to ongoing assessment to ensure
that they continue to meet the rapidly changing needs of a global society.
